Arivin selected for Deep Tech Accelerator funding by Business Finland

We are very happy to be selected as one of the young and innovative companies awarded funding through the Deep Tech Accelerator (DTA) programme by Business Finland.

We are very happy to be selected as one of the young and innovative companies awarded funding through the Deep Tech Accelerator (DTA) program by Business Finland and to be featured in the official announcement.

Arivin therapeutics Oy is built on technology originating from Aalto University and the University of Helsinki to make an impact against the world’s most resistant and problematic bacterial infections. Our novel, future-proof therapeutic approaches are designed to avoid rapid resistance build-up, providing a more sustainable solution to manage infections compared to the currently available antibiotics.

The DTA program provides up to €1.2 million in non-dilutive funding, distributed across three phases, to accelerate our commercial development. In research-driven startups, it is easy to focus intensely on the underlying invention and overlook other critical factors that determine the success of new technologies, including the competitive landscape, market needs, and evolving regulatory requirements. The DTA program enables us to systematically address all these factors and accelerate our growth and expansion.

The first phase of the DTA program will significantly strengthen our commercial and regulatory capabilities, which are essential for accelerating regulatory approvals and securing the next round of venture financing for our upcoming clinical trials. Future phases of the program will further support regulatory compliance and enable us to expand our technology into additional infection areas where bacterial pathogens represent a major global challenge.

We are very grateful for the continued support of Business Finland for Arivin therapeutics, and more broadly for supporting the pharmaceutical biotechnology and deep-tech sector. Their support is critical in offsetting longer and higher-risk development timelines and in unlocking the sector’s substantial market potential.
